Week 3:
GOOD UX: Paypal
I use Paypal constantly for work. It is very clear, intuitive, and communicative. For example, I sold a few items on eBay this week. Once I received their payment, Paypal notified me that those funds aren't actually available to me until they receive my product. Since they let me know that clearly, it was not a problem, made sense, and I had no stress about getting paid. However, without their great communication experience, I would have been stressed out and probably emailed them asking why my money isn't available to be transferred out yet.
BAD UX: Microsoft Word
It seems to me that many of Microsoft's software, especially Word, have very unintuitive UX. The menus use small symbols and the most commonly needed functions are tough to find. I can't wait for someone to design a better standardly used software.
